Home of Lingerie

Lingerie has many topics, issues, trends, styles. These are great to talk about, but sometimes important factors such as what correct size falls by the waistside.

Lets start of by all important bra size. Many women are wearing the wrong bra size. There are many ways to measure your bra size. Some technical, some invented, some made up, and some just bazaar. Not all work. For such an important piece of lingerie, getting bra size right, means more comfort and feeling better about yourself.

So, in the following example, I’ll talk about the somewhat technical yet simple way to measure your correct bra size.
All you need is a soft measuring tape and a paper and pen, or a good memory.

As most people know that bra sizes are made up of two parts, the band size and a cup size (which is shown in letter size)

However, many people don’t realize is that cup sizes are in proportion to the band size.

For example, a D cup is not the same size in every bra.

To clarify this further, lets look at this example: Bra size 32D is the same size as a 34C or 36B, simply on a smaller frame. For a fairly slim person, they may need a large cup size even though their bust doesn’t look any bigger than the average.

Sexy lingerie equals Band size
We need the measuring tape here. To measure your band size by start going through your lingerie draw, and put on your best fitting bra.

Note: Need a normal bra for this, no unpadded, minimizer or sports bra.

First, tighten straps up until the point your breasts are aligned in the middle of your chest. Now measure around your bra right under your bust.
When doing this measure, remember to do it after breathing out air from lungs in order to get the smallest measure. If you can, perform this measurement whilst in front of a mirror, so you can align your shoulders parrell to the measuring tape.

Write down the measurement, or if you have a good memory, remember this number. If the number is an odd number, round it up to the next even number.

Its is your band size. Band sizes are given in even numbers.

Sexy lingerie also means Cup size.

Need the measuring tape again for this one. Align the measuring tape around your breasts. When doing this, make sure you are parallel to your shoulders and the tape it is barely touching breasts.
Note the measurement, and round up to the next inch result, subtract this number from the band size.
The resulting number is your cup size.

Example: If your breast size is 39 inches and your band 36 then your cup size is 3 inches or a C cup.
